Blur drummer Dave Rowntree has confirmed that the band will do "something" during the course of this year.

Blur's re-union was one of 2009's most emotional musical events. Performing a series of enormous shows, the Britpop titans were reduced to tears at Glastonbury after playing a headline set.

Parting company on good terms, rumours of a permanent re-union have surrounded them ever since. Singer Damon Albarn has enjoyed massive success with Gorillaz, but the cartoon collective are set to power down.
