Sir Paul McCartney is to sing at Prince William’s wedding.

The Beatles legend has reportedly been approached to perform for the future king of Britain and his fiancee Kate Middleton at a Buckingham Palace reception after their April 29 nuptials because the couple believe his music has universal appeal.

A source said: “William and Kate have chosen their wedding list and Paul McCartney is their number one choice to perform.

“They can’t think of anyone more perfect to kick off proceedings.”
