Acclaimed electronic artist Tom Jenkinson, a.ka. Squarepusher, has unveiled his latest project, Shobaleader One. Jenkinson refuses to name any of the members of the new quintet, saying that of the members’ intent was to “completely clean break with whatever they’ve done in the past” and therefore he’s not allowed to mention any names. All he will say is that “pretty frightening players” and that “musically speaking, these kids come from a metal background but they’re all bang into really slick R&B which I found quite funny at first...
