It's been four years since Xzibit released Full Circle, and while he's working up to the release of a new project called MMX, that doesn't mean he's putting his movie career on hold.

The rapper returned to Michigan this week to film a guest spot on an upcoming episode of ABC's crime drama, "Detroit 1-8-7," which will debuts on September 21 at 10PM.

For the role, X will play a street hustler who reforms his ways and becomes a record producer.
