It was a big week for new music on the US album chart with debuts from six artists in the Top 10.

There were a few surprises. Soul singer KEM and singer songwriter Ray Lamontange did better than Iron Maiden. Country star Trace Atkins had another hit, David Gray was back in the chart and John Mellencamp still proved to have selling power.

Kem had the biggest selling debut at the week with ‘Intimacy’ charting at number 2 on sales of around 76,000.
