Celebrated American director Jim Jarmusch is planning to direct a new documentary about punk icon Iggy Pop.

Iggy Pop is a force of nature. As frontman with The Stooges the singer helped set out the punk template, with loud guitars, screaming vocals and plenty of audience provoking antics during a live show.

Now a venerated rock icon, Iggy Pop recently reformed Iggy & The Stooges for a series of tour dates. Focussing on their 1973 classic 'Raw Power' the shows have seen the band introduce their music to a new generation.
