Austin-based group The Octopus Project will head out on a fall tour in support of their upcoming album Hexadecagon, which debuted as a live performance and will be released in album form October 26, 2010 on Peek-A-Boo Records. Hexadecagon was born out of long drives from venue to venue soundtracked by minimalist composers Terry Riley and Steve Reich, inspiring the band to use custom electronics (The Bend Matrix) and push existing software (Ableton Live, VDMX, OSCulator) to its limits.
