Please forgive me. I tried. I mean I really tried to live up to any indie cred I may have earned over the years. I tried hard to hate Night Train the new EP from Keane (out May 11th).Despite my best efforts the band has won me over. They've strayed far from the nonthreatening melancholic pop rock that had them labelled as "the next Coldplay".

Night Train is a diverse record and one on which Keane are not afraid to take chances. Sure, "Back In Time" may verge on over-indulgent U2 territory, and singer Tom Chaplin occasionally sounds like he's trying...
