In possibly the most audacious claim since Ron Nasty claimed The Rutles were “bigger than Rod”, Liam Gallagher has claimed his new band Beady Eye will be “bigger than Oasis.”

“It'll be bigger,” Gallagher told London's Sunday Times. “I've got no doubt about the music, no doubt about me. I've never sounded better.”

“[Noel] will come crawling back very fucking soon, man,” Liam said. “He thinks he's the leader, he thinks every decision he makes is right. I started this fucking band. I am Oasis.”
