Concert for Chile, the benefit concert which was scheduled to take place tonight (Wednesday, March 24) at De Melkweg in Amsterdam, Holland, has been cancelled. Among the musicians who were slated to perform at the event were former THE GATHERING singer Anneke van Giersbergen and her new band AGUA DE ANNIQUE, Simone Simons (EPICA) and Danny Cavanagh (ANATHEMA).

Commented Anneke: "These last two weeks we've been working around the clock to make this happen. We had some of Holland's biggest names in popular music supporting this benefit. Nevertheless, ticket pre-sales weren't even close to what one would expect from a lineup...
