Evanescence News: Evanescence to go in synth pop direction for new album?

Evanescence singer Amy Lee has revealed that the band are heading toward a synth-pop direction for their upcoming album. The album, which is a followup to their 2006 album, The Open Door, will see a “non-angry” direction.

Amy said, “It’s going in an electro-pop direction " there are no organic instruments. It’s a Portishead or Massive Attack direction, and lyrically it’s about moving on, but in a very non-confrontational, non-angry way.”
