Rap and church may not typically go together, but who’s to say they can’t?

Rapper DMX, real name Earl Simmons, has agreed to perform at a “gospel rap extravaganza” at his church this weekend, according to TMZ.

The rapper is set to perform for a fundraiser at the Morning Star Sanctified Church this Saturday (March 6). To boot, DMX is doing the show for free.

DMX and his family have, according to Pastor Barbara King, been members of the Church’s congregation for eight months and the rapper is eager to help raise money for repairs.
