American MC Mos Def is set to play a rare one off show in London later this year.

Mos Def began his career in the seminal hip hop collective Urban Thermo Dynamics. Attracting the attention of iconic rap group De La Soul, Mos Def worked with the Daisy Age gurus before striking out on his own.

After the success of the group Black Star the MC decided to work solo once more. Releasing albums such as 'Black On Both Sides' in 1999, Mos Def gained a reputation as a forward thinking voice in hip hop.
