The curious paradox of Castanets is that while no two of their albums sound all that much alike, each one is uniquely Castanets. From the gothic Americana of Cathedral, to the electronic tinged First Light's Freeze, the sparse In the Vines and the moody, largely instrumental Castanets - Texas Rose The Thaw & The Beast (2009) - Ray Raposa sure knows his way around a room.
